Email to NED from July 2015 on issues concerning free speech, the Shugden ban, and the Karmapa issue

Dear NED staff,

The Dalai Lama’s image was of importance to the CIA and State Deptarment ( to keep the image of China that of negative anti-democracy.  China does a good job of self-advertisement on being anti-democratic, so it might be a good idea to switch tactics; rather than trying to suppress those of us who differ in opinion with the Dalai Lama’s religious policies (as the CIA/U.S. govt have put him in charge of Buddhism, though in reality he was never in charge of Buddhism), let us,who dissent in religious opinion with the Dalai Lama, in the name of democracy, speak.

Please tell the International Campaign For Tibet to stop slandering Shugden Buddhists/Shugden Buddhist Protesters (check their recent Twitter feed from the first 8 days of July)  . We (Shugden Buddhists) aren’t funded by China; I just got back from the UC Irvine protests and I can tell you, nobody is getting outside funding or we’d all have more money to fly around, for example, me to New York for the current protests.  Also, most of the ISC in the U.S. that “represents” Shugdens, such as Len Foley and his wife Rebecca Gautier are most likely anti-Shugden Dalai Lama people who have been infiltrating the New Kadampa Tradition and the International Shugden Community; happens all the time.  I have noticed they downplay the protests, are completely insincere and put in people who I happen to know are not truly Shugden people.  (We get this a lot in the NKT; Rebecca is a resident teacher– but don’t let that fool you; she clearly has no sincere connection to Buddha Shugden by words, actions, and understanding).
You would also be wise to mention that you think the U.S. should not endorse a Karmapa just because the Dalai Lama (and in this case) China picked one; in the case of the Panchen Lama, you should listen to the Dalai Lama’s school, and thus to the Dalai Lama’s  recognition, rather than China’s.  In the case of the Kagyu, the Dalai Lama has no jurisdiction, but to make China happy, picked a “Karmapa” that China had organized for him; the real Karmapa is not communist educated, is into democracy, is named Thaye Dorje, and was rightfully picked by Shamar Rinpoche, the head regent of the Kagyus.  The Chinese seem to be wanting their pretend Karmapa to take over and “rule” in the absence of the Dalai Lama (after he passes.) and It would be good to phone over to the ICT/State Dept. and ask them to tell Dalai lama to end the Shugden ban and recongize both Karmapas— just for human rights and PR— (So he won’t look like an idiot with the Shugden ban, because he is a total hypocrite–, and then with the Karmapa you will want this unless you want China to control via their puppet, the Dalai Lama’s Urgen Thrinely; Karmapa Thaye Dorje is really a wonderful lama and into democracy and human rights (he was my first lama; I knew Shamar Rinpoche well back in 2001, though he has passed on and I am now  in another school) ; the Dalai Lama’s choice is a puppet now for Dalai Lama, and later will be one for China:  Also Robert Thurman from Columbia U, and all his cronies, they are Dalai Lama devotees and cannot really be relied on for factual and unbiased info.
Concerning the self-immolations, please we need those to end; that is not a Buddhist practice in general, as we are against suicide, but it won’t even help the cause of Tibet, as Obama already said that we see Tibet as part of China, so to help the Tibetans, please don’t encourage self-immolations. ( I understand that you do not want people to fall for communism, but I do not think that encouraging self-immolations of Tibetans will help; what it tells me is that you know full well that the cause of Tibet is lost for now, as you must be aware that the Dalai Lama himself is well known not to work for Independence, but that the U.S. government will encourage Tibetans to self-sacrifice; you all have listened to Thurman too long; the Dalai Lama isn’t in charge of Buddhism, and you have made mistakes from listening to his cronies.  Please fix your issues with backing the wrong Karmapa and ask the Dalai lama to end his Shugden ban (via NED, ICT, State Dept., or something) because a. I am a Shugden Buddhist and YES there is a ban and YES the Dalai Lama is lying and so for my 1st amendment rights, please don’t fund this anti-Shugden nonsense and b. what a PR disaster for the Dalai Lama and all those involved.  He can just end it in writing– he can use an out like— oh I didn’t really mean for them to write it down like that— (he was in charge of the TGIE when the ban went in, but he’s inventive with lies so help him find a social out to the PR disaster by saying he’ll end it in writing since maybe some people in the TIE or CTA took it too far or something— how hard is that?).
I was in India and Nepal in 2001, and I know for certain, way back then, there was a prohibition/ban on Shugden practice from the Dalai Lama; I saw this with my own eyes, so it doesn’t really work when the Dalai Lama says, “ban? what ban?”  I also happen to notice, back in 2001, that the Dalai Lama wasn’t all he was cracked up to be, since he couldn’t stay out of the Karmapa’s school; the Karmapa is the oldest reincarnate lineage in Tibet; we have NEVER needed or used a Dalai Lama recognition for Karmapa.  Maybe you should ask more people than just Thurman and Thurman appointed ones.  It’s like going to Northern Ireland and asking only Protestants what the Catholics are doing.
Please end the ban and make sure the Thaye Dorje Karmapa gets recognized by at least the U.S. government as in charge of his school— you don’t want the puppet China/Dalai Lama “Karmapa” on any level.
If you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
  Best regards,
